Subject: Angel of Death

I stalk the night,
draped in a cloak sheathed in darkness
two eyes burn brightly behind my hood, mean and heartless
armed with the sharpest slingblade that's ever been made
renegade angel exiled for refusing to sing praise
and presuming to take the kings place, as if I could do better
I tried to move weather patterns but nothing happened except the sky over my head just grew wetter
so now I'm sent to make those who die pay their debt or recieve a reward
either scream with the devil or be with the lord
all must feel the sting of my sword, 'cause death can't be prevented
so pay special attention to how you spend it if you wish to end up in heaven
just don't believe the desception and my visit will be a gift and a blessing
not a punishment for giving in when your tempted
many men and women think that I'm just a mindless killer
blindly deciding who dies for the thrill of hearing my victims cries getting shriller
so they try to commit suicide with a pill or a razor blade
thinking they can take their fate in their hands and make a path on a road where I have allready paved the way
I came to say that too many walk the median
not believing in anything but greediness and chalking up fleeting gifts
but upon my arrival they try to plead for just a coupla years
sure you have fun while you're here
but when the reaper comes it wasn't worth an eternity of unbearable fear
