A flash of blinding lightning illuminates the dark stallion, and he rears, then gathers himself and launches forward at the shadow creature, impacting and leaving them both on the ground, stunned (See my idea...I'm using it. This isn't a serious wound, so I think it's okay). Steed of darkness recovers, muscles powerfully bunching as he lashes out at offending creature (ooc-no offense...lol) with razor sharp hooves, causing gashes wherever they hit (now, did they hit or now is up to you). Then, he jumps back, landing silently, disappearing in the darkness. The area is still pitch-black...but the occasional flashes of lightning light up the land.
