Date Posted: 2/06/05 18:19 In reply to: Richard 's message, "Third Place" on 1/06/05 8:44 Guys, its a wish wash league, actually I would even refain from using the word league, A couple of teams got together and played some shinny last year, lets be happy we actually got some competition. As for this third place result, the whole league all year had some kind of "politics" if that is what you call it? from my point of view I don't want to make any assumptions and don't really know why the Kings won't play their last two games. If this is the final standings, then so be it, and we should be working together (all teams and administration)for that next year the same "politics" does not repeat itself, and we can try and have some kind of respectable organization. Rich, I do understand your position, but when you talk about politics, We had a dominate game against the Kings the first time we played you, our second game was very close with a 1 goal difference, and if I remember correctly that second game was supposed to be played earlier in the month but somehow was cancelled, from my understanding due to the fact the Kings couldn't field a decent team to play us, so when the game did come around we accepted the date knowing a full squad of Canadians would be absent, no excuses but where are the politics behind that? It works both ways. I don't recall in any league a game was cancelled or postpone because a team was going to miss some key players, that's the whole aspect of a team. It looks like the Kings last two games won’t be played, I would be more than happy to suggest the Canadians take away there last two games, and if the Kings have more points with 8 games at hand they rightfully deserve 3rd place and if the Canadians have more points, 3rd place remains theirs, and lets get something rollin for next season. Man, be careful that Bob Probert is a tough guy. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
