I think that running NM or UF cable in a complete conduit or EMT system is a miss application of the wiring method(s). I don't know why anyone would install a complete conduit system and then not use single conductors instead of a cable wiring method. Installing NM in short sections of EMT or conduit is for physical protrection only.
