Subject: LOOKING FOR A RELATIVES ARTILLERY REGIMENT

I was given an old wooden trunk which belonged to my grand dads brother John Crewe.

This trunk is the type that soldiers would take with them to store all their belongings in when they were inactive service.

The following letters are stensilled on the side of the trunk in white lettering.

Br J.Crewe 36 FBRA.

I take this to mean Bombadier J.Crewe Field Battery Royal Artillery.

As my family is no longer alive I cannot turn to them for any information.

I have searched the net for 36 Field Battery Royal Artillery and have come up empty handed.

I woould love to trace my grand fathers regiment as has been and ia a passion of mine studying war.
