In reply to: Alison 's message, "Your Gratitude Journal." on 13:39:57 01/07/05 Fri

Sarah says if we want to accompany her on the Simple Abundance Path, Gratitude Journals are NOT an option. I have never been very successful at keeping one for a long stretch of time. However, I do believe in their power. This year, mine is along with my pretty journal in a new Mary Engelbreit hardbound blank book I received from a dear ex sister-in-law. I just write a little in the journal, along with several others I babble on in, and then I have tried (successfully, so far) to take time to write five things every day.

I think the key is not to be so goody two shoes as to have to always write things we are grateful for that are "good and angelic". Is it is okay to be glad, even grateful, that XXXXX, the know it all from work, fell on her butt on the ice... ????? Although I hve NEVER been glad to see a coworker down, of course! Hmmmm.. Please do not kick me out of the group!!!! Actually, I've never written that, but it has come to mind. Not that the book should ever be wicked, but what about those glad moments for not so saintly thoughts and actions, Alison and Jennifer and Joann??? What do you think Sarah would say????
