What I love most about anything 'vintage' is that Someone else has loved it/treasured it enough to preserve it and pass it on to loved ones (or to us, if we're lucky enough to make such a coveted find). It is truly a blissful day when I find a piece of pure damask, or one more piece to my American Beauty dinnerware... Vintage (in my house) resides beside the new and is being collected for my daughters. Vintage is what I'll be someday... hopefully preserved and well-treasured.
