In reply to: Alison 's message, "The Brocante Breakfast." on 06:10:07 01/17/05 Mon

My parents (married now for 54 years) have a "party" every night before bed. It is a little cup of milk or hot cocoa and a cookie. Mom is on a walker, and Dad's health is fragile, but they religiously observe this little party time. Even if Mom is ill in bed, Dad has her get up and charge through the house on her walker and have that "party" before returning to bed!!!!!!! Another couple married the same month (Aug. 1950) plays a hand of four point pitch every night. She tells that when her husband was recovering from a dangerous bipass surgery, she played her hand and his hand, too, in the hospital room and could see him smile a little when he "won.".... Ahhh.... As Saki says, "romance. . . was her specialty."

But my tradiitons? I'm thinking.... I'm lacking.... uh oh... The Brocante Breakfast sounds good... I'm eager to hear everyone's.
