Sometimes I wake up crying at night
And sometimes I scream out your name
What right does she have to take your heart away
When for so long you were mine?

It wasn't anything huge but it worked for them. Two bedrooms, in an ok part of town - definately not where Marc lived but it was decent. It had a kitchen and a bathroom and really, that was all that was important, right? It was weird, living out on her own again. The past week she herself hadn't really talked to Marc, she had just handed the phone to Jessie when he called. She was more hurt then anything else and didn't think she could handle talking to him without breaking down. It seemed all she had done the past two weeks was cry but slowly she was moving into the anger stage. She remembered when she first got back, how she had been teriffied of him hurting her as 'payback' for her leaving in the first place. Seemed Karma did exist, She'd had a time of happiness, of getting her happily ever after and it had been ripped away from her. She hadn't been shocked when he confessed his infidelity, in fact, she had suspected it had been going on before the night he didn't come home - she kind of still did. Kier had been a lot to check on her and her parents had been supportive - they had never really liked Marc to begin with - she didn't tell them that he cheated on her, she hadn't told anyone that. As hurt as she was she would never intentionally make him look bad. Instead she just told them that it just hadn't worked out. They had helped her find the place and put the downpayment on it. She would accept money from Marc when it came to Jessie but anything else she would do on her own. She'd gotten a job at the local bookstore, it gave her a chance to do some reading and whatnot. She'd dropped her classes at the college, no time for them now, she couldn't leave Jessie with sitters that much and besides, the time she had used to go to class was now time used working to pay the bills. With a sigh, she sat down on the second hand couch and smiled slightly at Jessie where she was sitting on the floor, drawing her daddy a picture. The little girl really didn't understand what was going on, she woke up at night crying sometimes and every morning she would run around the apartment looking for Marc, appearing crestfallen when he wasn't anywhere to be found. It broke Ash's heart but there wasn't anything she could do about it..
