Subject: Re: using frenulum tying technique for phimosis
In reply to: SweeneyTodd 's message, "Re: using frenulum tying technique for phimosis" on 12:08:05 05/17/09 Sun

Well I'm just tied 3 small sutures vertically evently spaced on the top half of my prepuce (much like a mini dorsal slit). I made multiple smaller stitched rather than a single large one so that I could avoid having a v-shape looking slit after everything healed. I basically have no bleeding, and the ties seem good an tight. When I did a similar thing for my frenulum breve, it took about 3 days for the stitches to fall out with some gentle daily tugging on them.

I used LMX4 as a local anesthetic. On the frenulum breve I used a proper suture that was non-resorbable. They are hard to find, so for the phimosis, I used a simple small needle and unwaxed dental floss which seems to be working just fine.

I have my fingers crossed because I've been trying to solve this problem for 10 years. I think I may finally have done it.
