Wearing a condom would definately help but it can be painful as you have now trained your foreskin to retract. I found sex did not hurt (with or without a condom) when I couldn't retract my foreskin aslong as there was enough lubrication. However as soon as I was able to retract my foreskin even sex with a condom became more painful than before. I am now in the recovery phase of having a frenuloplasty.
