Subject: I think it is unfortunate that you don't have your money, but if you really contacted the police, they would have advised you that this is a civil matter and you need to file a small claims case.

  • FYI- If the police instructed you to go to the pageant and collect your money and their is an altercation- these directors can sue you and the police department as well.
