The banquet has been finally set. It will be held at the Diamondhead Country Club Saturday, January 28th at 7 PM. Diamondhead is located off Interstate 30 at Exit 97 in Mavern. Take Hwy 171 to Diamondhead. There will be all you can eat buffet including Catfish, chicken and all its dressings. We are trying to get a head count so if you could please give us a call and let us know if you are planning to attend. There have been some incorrect posting concerning this racing so please disregard. All your questions will be answered at this meeting concerning this years racing season. If you have any questions about the banquet feel free to call me at 501-318-4149.

The Friday race is a bonus race in conjunction with the Super Pro & No/E payouts. Sorry to annouce the race for this weekend is Cancelled due to chance of rain and the hurricane issues in Houston. We have a lot of guys that come up from that way and also in the mississippi louisana area and we do not want to cause complications with them or their families. I hope every one can understand the situation. This is the second race we have cancelled this year due to rain but this one is far worse and we think it would just be best for everyone to go ahead and settle down and start preparing for the next race. It may not be my place but give them some time. Prescott just got new owners and there new to owning and operating a track. I think they are doing an excellent job so far. Or at least hung on the fence every week like Steve did it? Also for anyone that doesn�t know yet, they changed the points to 5 points for each round won and 1 extra point for runner up and 2 extra points for 1st place. You still get 15 points for entering as before. In NO/E Jackie Lewis is 1st, I�m 2nd and Allen Holloway I believe is 3rd. That�s all I can remember from going to the tower after this weeks race and looking at the print out. I have never gotten any flyer yet this year, does anyone know about another one coming out anytime soon? At a drivers meeting the week before the racers appreciation race the question was asked �will the race be a point�s race?" Larry said "I don�t know". I had heard from another weekly racer that Larry had told him it would not be. It turned out to be single points Saturday and double on Sunday! I would have been there either way but isn't this inconsistent information a drag. The only way we know what�s happening at the track is if your there since it�s not on the web-site and there�s no flyer. How can a new comer decide when to come with zero info? I guess it does save electricity when the car count is low enough you never have to turn the lights on because it�s over by 6:00pm. Larry is trying very hard to make us happy and needs our help. He's giving us the pay-out and sticking to it. HEY SUPER PRO! Where�s your support, you big money guys must have a reason why the big end of the track isn�t full every week. Why aren�t you there? I can think of a few reasons but would rather hear yours. I myself wouldn�t care to show up with a bunch of my dragster buddy's and then have to run only them for the first 3 rounds. I feel like if you enter the class bring me on... "Better show for the spectators" Larry said? What spectators? And while I�m on the subject of spectators how about getting some by giving free entry tickets to every radio station that will give them away? You might inspire a racer, my car is ugly and slow but its there and paying and I came from the stands. I�ve been logging on almost every day and checking this website for info and have found few changes. How's everybody like the pick who you run against thing? I like to go up 1st and then I don�t have to make the choice, but if I get to far back in the points I like to know I have the option to go hunting the leader. Subject: RACING WEEKLY OR EVERY OTHER WEEK

The reasons for the change is due to the expense racers are having to pay to travel just to race. Larry has asked that all racers reply with some input on this topic so that he can make a decision on what is needed to get the car counts up and keep paying the good payouts he is paying. Larry is also wanting to try to have some index racing on the off weekends along with some gambler races. Changing to 2 points races a month should also make for a tight points program due to more particapation. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

RACE SCHEDULE -- JOHN ADAMS, 14:31:00 04/18/05 Mon I myself was worried about the change when larry first mentioned it and it would be very beneficial to both the racers and the track in many ways. The programs right now are going good, but like everyone knows the gas prices are going up and its a struggle for most to get to work everyday rather than traveling hours to get to the track every week. Like Mike said there wont just be down weekends. The track will still have Friday Night Fun Drags every Friday, if we decide to do the 2 weekend a month deal, and we would try and have extra races such as: Outlaw Races, Index Races, Gamblers Races, Team Races, Ford vs. Chevy vs. Mopar Races, and other fun races that give you a different feel every once in a while. I have always got my pictures on hand so if you want to take a look through them let me know! You can choose any picture you want, what ever color shirt you want and whatever saying or writiing you want on them!! The shirts that I have made so far look good!! Depanding on what sizes you get I am selling them for anywhere from 12 to 20 dallors!! Plus, half of the money i make off of them I am going to put towards yalls points fund!!! Yes, they have the points printed out each week. I think thats more my fault I havent asked for the points, Sorry. I will get them from Larry and Kathie this week and get them posted. But come to think about it, it will be hard to tell exactly where everyone is every race anyways because if somebody skips then they will have 15 extra points to add at the end of the season, from my understanding, because of the either 3 missed races somebody can use through the year worth 45 points.... correct me if im wrong. -- Cole, 12:15:00 03/16/05 Wed

Three years ago my dad flipped his car at 114 mph and that was a 68 green gold pinstripe camaro in his first race at in 14 years after he blew the motor in his car before. My dad built a new car that is a 67 camaro painted black with a telt frontcap and a new intake and caberator. It is alsome, my neighbors step outside when my dad starts the car to watch him rev the motor and spinout in the yard. My family will be at prescott sometime this mouth planning on my dads work he'll be running in the mid or high 5s.I can't wait!
