IF FISHER STAYS IN THE PAINT, DOESN'T THAT CLOG UP EVERYTHING DOWN LOW?

Makes sense but in NU's case I don't think so.

Fisher has a tendency to play away from the rim. In doing so he lets his defenders retreat to the paint and collapse in the middle, in this case on 6'10" Benson Egemonye, who is developing nicely. If Fisher is in the paint his defender, and others, must pay attention to Fisher thus relieving some of the defensive pressure on Big Ben. He has played well of late.

Thompson is a very good player and will be a handful. For NU to win, IMO, Tyrone Lewis has to be back at full strength and playing tough D with frosh Anthony Nelson. If so, Rider will have a tough time getting the ball to Thompson. If we don't play well defensively it could be a long night for the Purps, even on our home court. Lewis is the key IMO. If he is healthy we have one of the best backcourts in the MAAC along with Hodge. Though only a soph, he is also emerging as a leader and floor general.

Good luck.
