Subject: A late Christmas Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

saw The Holdovers, starring Paul Giamatti. It takes place at an all boys high school in New England in 1970. Giamatti plays a grumpy teacher charged with taking care of holdovers--students who can't go home for the holidays and have to stay at the school. It's a bittersweet comedy that is very well done. The director is one of my favorites, Alexandre Payne, who also directed Giamatti in Sideways.

Paul is amazing in whatever he does. We watched my fav Christmas movies, A Christmas Carol with George C Scott, and of course, Die Hard, lol.
