there's no point in everyone fighting for the throne when the Night King and white walkers are going to wipe out everyone anyway. So, I would think that the various parties unite to fight that battle and sort it all out with whoever survives. It's been so long since the show has been on, I kind of think that's how it was headed in the finale. It's hard to remember now LOL! I keep thinking that Bran will have a part in how things turn out with the Night King. I know they are promising some seriously big battles.
