Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? We

watched the Ray Donovan movie, which was only made after the cast, series creators and fans got riled up by the sudden series cancellation. It wrapped things up in a very Ray Donovan way and I cheered when a certain character was finally sent to his dirt nap, but sad about who had to do the deed. Trauma does carry on through the generations.

Thx for Ray Donovan movie review, we want to watch but don't have Showtime yet. Too many services... anyway.
We saw CODA, a great little film about the teenage daughter of deaf parents. It's a boy-meets-girl love story, a struggle to succeed story, and family strength story all in one. Marlee Matlin stars as the mom. Filmed in beautiful Gloucester, Mass.
Also watched Eyes of Tammy Faye with Jessica Chatain and Andrew Garfield. True story of 2 flawed jerks, but the acting was the worst! Turned it off before the end.

the over-the-top crazy of the real life characters made it hard to play them with nuance.
