Subject: Thanks, AllyG! We took her back to her assisted living facility last night late. But

at least I got to see her, which is rare these days. She has anemia and the docs are trying to figure out why. She had a blood transfusion in the emergency room at a moment's notice and I was losing my mind trying to get info from the hospital without being able to see her. But the nurse was able to put her on the phone. She's doing OK for now.

I can't imagine how hard it is for you during this pandemic. Though it may sound horrible my sister and I are somewhat thankful my mom did not live to see this. I don't think she would have managed the loneliness and she wasn't tech savvy so Facetime and Zoom would have been beyond her. Though probably my sister and I would have gone to FL and gotten her and had her live with us. That would have added all kinds of layers lol.

Hopefully the docs will figure out the anemia and sort it. Glad you could see her for a bit.

on the elderly. My mom moved into assisted living just before the pandemic locked those facilities down and we couldn't see her at all. Now, we can make appointments to see her out on one of the patios or in one of the indoor community spaces. She at least has the company of the very attentive staff. But she is also not tech savvy. My nephew got her a portal to do Messenger chats and all she has to do is answer the ring and turn it on. It's been a big help.
