Subject: Again, I'm puzzled by Tom Hanks as supporting... lol.

How do you get supporting for your starring role? Is there an imaginary friend in the movie, lol? Anyway....
I suppose Renee Zellweger and Joaquin Phoenix are locks, so maybe it gives Tom a chance to win something. Disappointed by no women noms for director, and Cynthia Erivo as the only African American actor. I was hoping Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx for Just Mercy would be recognized.
Lots of good movies this year anyway, for sure.

maybe he's more of a costar with Matthew Rhys. I don't know. It is kind of odd. But Joaquin is probably a lock, as he should be. I was hoping for Eddie Murphy for Dolomite, but comedies rarely get the attention. That's why I like them as separate categories like the Globes.
