Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I
I saw 1917 last week. I'm gonna wait to see what you think of it. -- skw123, 23:19:39 01/19/20 Sun [1]
OK, we saw 1917. As I have mentioned, war movies -- LAwoman, 21:19:05 01/20/20 Mon [1]

I agree about the look and feel of 1917. I also thought the acting was -- skw123, 23:13:09 01/20/20 Mon [1]
really believable, very thoughtful. There were 2 things I was puzzled by tho: why didn't the captain of the company who gave our hero a ride not help him by assigning a guy to accompany him, and why didn't they help when he was attacked on the bridge when they were 20' away like 5 minutes later? Seems like plot errors to me. Also too much running, running like a Mario Bros game. Still, I really liked it, and think it will win. Love that it's based on real stories.

If I remember right, the company that gave him -- LAwoman, 23:39:15 01/20/20 Mon [1]
the ride were on their own mission to get somewhere and I don't think they can deviate from that. But he didn't seem interested in having company anyway. It was almost a suicide mission from the start.
