Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

am posting a little early as Oscars are coming on soon and I got to concentrate on posting about that LOL! So my Oscar best movie push continued as I saw Green Book and Black Panther. Green Book was so damn good. I have now seen all but Roma of the best pic noms. Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen deserve their nominations for sure. It's got humor, sadness and it's just got it all. I'm predicting a win for Mahershala, but honestly, all of the nominees (of the ones I've seen) are deserving so I won't be disappointed.
Black Panther is probably best for those familiar with the Marvel universe and the Avengers story, but on it's own, it is still a big, lavish film. It is great to see Michael B. Jordan as a full grown man. Our little Reggie from All My Children is all grown up and a star at that! The brief cameo by Stan Lee made me teary. Ultimately, he's responsible for the whole Marvel universe. There are some other good cameos, but the women were standouts including Lupita Nyong'o, Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira.

Tried to watch At Eternity's Gate. Spectrum had to send out a repairman and still didn't fix the problem. Watching the Oscars's now and loving it all anyway.
I agree Greenbook is amazing. I tried but failed on Black Panther - I don't like comics. But much love for Michael B. Jordan. I saw Roma, liked it but I think it's a difficult one to absorb.
