So, the anticipation of this GOT finale tonight has me a bit anxious. I have been entertaining myself

Hahahaha... those are great. But now I'm sad it's over for good. -- skw123, 23:29:48 05/19/19 Sun [1]

I was pretty OK with it all too. -- AllyG, 13:57:12 05/20/19 Mon [1]
Did not know Bran was the oddsmakers favorite so I was surprised by that though once Tyrion explained the whole he can't have kids so we won't have yet another dynasty but rather a chosen leader each time it seemed kind of logical.
Arya going off into the wild unknown was true to her character and the fact that she did not want to be a lady. Even if she had been Sansa's Hand or whatever the Queen of the North needed it would have been too constricting for her.
It seems Sansa's destiny was always to be a queen. Thank goodness NOT Joffrey's.
Loved that Bronn is Master of Coin. How funny is that.
Loved Jon and Ghost being reunited!!!! And he has gone North to be with the Free folk which is where he spent the only really happy time of his life so good for him.
My expectations were so low because I have not really enjoyed this season. I think they had to cram far too much into too few episodes and the show suffered for it. So really the finale had to be better than I was expecting :)
I am sad that it is over and I may re-watch it one day looking to see where there is foreshadowing etc...

I agree with your reasoning on all those points. And it's kinda funny, -- skw123, 19:00:13 05/20/19 Mon [1]
that with 2 years and a $15k per ep budget, that the story seemed rushed, and yet dragged at times. Like when we spent 5 minutes watching Tyrion re-arrange the chairs at the table, or arguing about funding houses of prostitution. Really? We couldn't see Bran checking in on Drogon?

Tyrion's brothel joke was a callback as it's one he's tried to finish telling twice before and again was cut off LOL! -- LAwoman, 19:17:19 05/20/19 Mon [1]

I re-watch a lot of episodes and I'll re-watch the finale. I'm sure I'll end up buying -- LAwoman, 18:56:02 05/20/19 Mon [1]
the entire series at some point. There are a lot of earlier episodes that have plenty of foreshadowing and I watched as many as I could before the final season started. But with a rather short final season, it did rush things. So many of the episodes are actually good as stand alone epics.

If you have time, read the 1st book by JRRM. The 5th is great too. -- skw123, 19:02:07 05/20/19 Mon [1]

I would love to, but unfortunately, all my reading these days is work-related. -- LAwoman, 19:18:58 05/20/19 Mon [1]

I have read them all after the TV show -- AllyG, 13:29:45 05/21/19 Tue [1]
season that dealt with them aired. I really wanted the show to be a complete surprise and though I know they deviated from things a lot I would definitely have been spoiled so I am glad I did it that way. Plus I could imagine Peter or Kit or Emilia etc... while reading and that made them even more enjoyable though VERY long :)
