Subject: Cajun passed away!

I just saw the following message on FB from Tanya Oaks-Brooks:

"I’m utterly heartbroken. Today we lost my sweet sister-in-law, Laura Baker Brooks. A lot of you Long Beach people met her at the crawfish boil we had a few years ago, and of course a lot of Baton Rouge people knew her. She’d been dealing with a lot of health problems, but just recently I thought she’d turned the corner and was going to be OK. She was even looking for new business opportunities.

Laura and I had a special bond because we were the girls who married into the Brooks family, and we had a lot in common. I will always miss just talking with her for hours about anything and everything.

I will always love this photo of Laura and Robby, because they look so happy.

My heart goes out to Robby, Jenn, and Lennon."

Meet her and her husband when they came to CA. She was fun and funny and kind. She was one of the first people I interacted with on the AMC board at soapcentral. She was welcoming and so entertaining. She was much loved.

How very sad. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
