Rami Malik was fantastic, an Oscar well-deserved. The rest of the movie was just kinda blah, like I've just seen this rags to riches story so many times before. From that perspective, The Dirt was a more entertaining film.

so blah. There should have been more focus on how Freddie's orientation and his eventual diagnosis affected the band. They made it sound like they were all so supportive, but it wasn't exactly that way in the beginning. The movie was made with the band's involvement so they totally sugarcoated that aspect.
