Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

didn't see any movies. We spent the hot day at the pool. I may check tonight and see if there are any movies I want to stream.

on Amazon with Riley Keough (Elvis' granddaughter). It is the story of a band that in 1977 at the height of their new fame play a sold out show at Soldier field and then never play together again. Decades later they are telling the story. You see them in the 70s interspersed with "current" interviews. Thought it was pretty good. LOTS of drugs which with my family's history is tough to watch some times. The music was good especially the real 70s music :)

I also started the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

they are running the first season on FX now. It's really good.

Happy 4th, all. I'm watching a few new series, and saw one movie. -- skw123, 22:44:57 07/03/23 Mon [1]

The movie was The Book Club II, it was horrible. When a group like jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Diane Keaton etc can't save a film, it's a loser.
I'm loving Poker Face, finally something original. Saw the first ep of Glamorous, Kim Catrall's series, a 2nd rate version of Devil Wears Prada.
We loved Daisy Jones & the 6, awesome music and acting.

agree about it being a really original idea but somehow it left me cold after the first episode so I did not go back. Now that Comcast is making me pay for Peacock I am not sure I will sign back up. Depends on how badly I want to watch the Premier League Football when the season starts next month :)

There's more content than I can possible watch on the ones I have, yet I'm missing something I want to see on the ones I don't have, LOL.
