Subject: A late Christmas Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

saw The Holdovers, starring Paul Giamatti. It takes place at an all boys high school in New England in 1970. Giamatti plays a grumpy teacher charged with taking care of holdovers--students who can't go home for the holidays and have to stay at the school. It's a bittersweet comedy that is very well done. The director is one of my favorites, Alexandre Payne, who also directed Giamatti in Sideways.
