Seems like not that long ago, the 3 top free-to-view networks owned the Emmy's with good shows. Now that's gone, except Abbot Elementary. Back then, we said reality tv, cheap to produce and formulaic, would take over, and it did. IMO, sad.

they can monetize content not restricted by the FCC with side hustles like Paramount+, Peacock, Disney+. Actual broadcast will still do OK with big events and sports, reality, talk and game shows. The content landscape sure has changed over the last few years.
