was still watching all things Olympics and trying to catch up on shows on my DVR.

ceremony reporting: the national news keeps reporting that Snoop Dog, Dre and Billie Irish were at Venice Beach. Nope, the concert was filmed right here in Long Beach! In any case, the Bike Riders was very good. Closing ceremony could have used a better sound system! The mens and women Bball finals rocked!

for some reason they kept saying Venice. Though I think the Chili Peppers were at Venice? It looked like two different stages.

organizers put up a big chain link fence around the whole beach area, so us locals couldn't even get a peek at the filming. I did see a shot of Snoop riding on a little golf cart, tho, LOL.

how it was called Venice! Bad move. And Venice doesn't look that nice to be honest.

to walk around the Venice canals and take in the cute cottages and little boats. The boardwalk is pretty dicey. Our Naples Island canals here in LB are just as pretty tho.
