Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

watched a lot of NCAA basketball (men's and women's) and decided to check out Wolf Hall and Marie Antoinette on PBS Masterpiece Theatre. They are both in season two and I didn't see season one of either. But I like them well enough that I might go find those first seasons.

I was expecting it to be a lot better written and acted than it was, considering the award noms for Demi Moore. A combination of sci-fy and horror, the story is about a mysterious "substance" that recreates youth, literally. The amount of gore and violence is just extreme. I don't recommend it. Demi deserved an Oscar for Ghost, but not this one.

received the same accolades. Director Coralie Fargeat's style is unique for sure, but effective.

The Brutalist is next up for me, and I really want to like it but, I'm not so sure about the long playing time.
