Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

streamed a movie, The Roses. It is a "reimagining" of the 1989 film (based on a novel) The War of the Roses. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as the Roses. Like the original film, it is a dark comedy of a couple's marriage going from loving to hating. I am a fan of both lead actors, but the film is best left to streaming. The supporting cast was sort of unnecessary. It came out earlier this year and I think it got mixed reviews.

I'm glad you reminded me of The Roses. Sounds like the Days of Wine & Roses, with Taylor and Burton battling it out.
