Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

watched all of my usual holiday movies and am ready to move on to new streaming and in-theater movies. I want to see Is This Thing On?, Hamnet and Marty Supreme in the theaters if possible. I am going to stream One Battle After Another (now streaming on HBO Max) and Bugonia (streaming on Peacock) and I may add Netflix for a month to see Frankenstein.

2nd favorite, lol. Don’t laugh but I want to see Song Sung Blue in the theater.
I was reading in the LA Times that even Avatar 3 could not save the abysmal year for the theaters. We need another couple of blockbusters in 2026.

theatrically released overall. It was a slow year for films. I partly blame Netflix as they produce a lot of movies, but only let them run in theaters for a short time before making them exclusive to their streaming platform. They should give them longer in the theaters. When I look at what is playing at the local AMC, there seems to be less options. and I have AMC gift cards to spend!
