Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

One Battle After Another. It was fantastic and so timely. Leo was brilliant as always. Sean Penn, menacing and crazy. The action scenes were top notch. The film was primarily shot in California, from Humboldt County down to San Diego County and lovely Lompoc in between, plus a little El Paso, TX. The supporting actors were magnetic including Teyana Taylor and Benicio Del Toro. I highly recommend it. It streams on HBO/HBO Max.

I know we can just stream these things, but I like to see movies in the theater. I do want to see One Battle and Song Sung Blue, not so sure about Marty Supreme. This morning is the first time I've seen the sun in days, hope to get out and enjoy it. I'm still laughing at the clip of Michael B Jordan smirking at Chalamet on stage, lol.

[> And I just streamed Bugonia. It is Golden Globe nominated as a comedy. I would -- LAwoman, 22:22:43 01/05/26 Mon [1]

say comedy is a stretch, much like The Bear, but it was something! Both Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are nominated for Golden Globes. If I didn't see that Jesse Plemons was in this movie, I would not have recognized him! They are both at the top of their games here. It is a completely wacky film.
Yorgos Lanthimos directs this one as he directed Emma Stone in the equally crazy Poor Things. they seem to like working together. I can't even describe this one LOL! But I liked it.
