Levi's? Fuggedaboutit

The following night, I decided to spend some time in Pangaea at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with "the family." It wasn't my family but Christopher Gambino, an alleged ex-wiseguy turned fashion designer and author, who was hosting a fashion show for his clothing line, Gambino Apparel. The line, which boasts the slogan, "It's not a crime to wear them," features women's jeans accented with a faux bullet hole. A pair with a single bullet hole costs $89, but if you want to look as if you've been shot three times, a pair will set you back $149. The line also features "made man" men's shirts, in addition to ladies' tops, skirts and lingerie.

Models strutted the runway at Pangaea sporting Gambino's denim collection and slinky lingerie, while average-looking clubgoers mixed in with Sopranos wannabes. My favorite design was a pair of $89 scrunch jeans with ruched fabric that made them look dressy. The line pokes fun at mob life, but in a 2004 New York Post article, the designer denied being related to the notorious Gambino crime family. Then again, the mafia doesn't even exist, right? For details on the clothes, go to Gambinoapparel.com.
