Thanks so much Melissa! I appreciate your input. I don't know if I mentioned that my vet thought my mare had experienced early embryonic death on the second try...there was what looked to be a collapsing vesicle. But I still have much to learn. I talked to a different vet who specializes in reproduction and her sentiment was my mare was not pregnant. So that statement left me confused. But I am starting to believe my mare was likely bred at a less than optimal time. I will check out Iron Spring Farm's site. I never caught their article but I was just checking out their stallions at the time. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
