Date Posted: 14:17:32 03/02/06 Thu I took up skydiving with some of you mad coonasses from Mamou way back in 1962. I was just 17 but I learned then that nobody and I do mean nobody parties like a coonass. I use that term with affection by the way. Great memories of the times I had and still have in LA. Ville Platte, NO etc etc. Lots of good beer and TLC - you know. I served in Vietnam and also during Desert Storm and I did get mobilized for Enduring Freedom but didn't leave the country. I am retired now but guys (gals too) I have always thought that the best part of this country serves in the military. That is what I observed over the course of service in 5 different decades.
