I really think Dan has his mother's eyes, that arched left eyebrow, and facial asymmetry with the left side wider than the right. But the nose, mouth, and long chin (and apparently hands) are definitely Dad's. A remarkable combination of blessed genes to create a near perfect being (just like MY kids!)

I never noticed Dan's face was assymetrical!! It looked darn near perfect to me!! I just love his eyes, eyebrows (tho in closeup he had a slight uni-brow thing going-lol!) and his lips-gorgeous!! My fav picture of all time is the one photo in The Innocent Age--His head is slightly bent to the side-he has the beard and white shirt on!! Whats your guys fav pic of Dan??? He really looked great in every pic I have ever seen!!!

I couldn't begin to pick a favorite. You're right, he looked great in every picture. It's like trying to pick a favorite song. My favorite is whatever I listened to last.

Your are right Mary!! I always think about which song is my favorite--I can never pick--but every time I listen to a song-its my favorite for that moment!!! Ok-that said--there are only 2 songs that I do not care for so much-they are "Democracy" and the one about Donald Trump (shame on me-my Altzheimer is kicking in--I cant think of the title!!) Those 2 I do tend to skip over--Now-I must say that-IF I had to say which songs I listen to most--The Reach, Nexus, To the Morning, Empty cages, False Faces, Dancing Shoes, any song from Innocent Age, Tucson, AZ, ok--I'll end with those!!! What is your guys favs???

There's a power to Our Last Farewell that blows me away. It's the honesty of his angst and how candid and forthcoming he is as he tells the tale and the emotions that wrap around it. Who lays it all out like that? There's such struggle and strength and respect and acceptance and resolve and it's all expressed in the most beautiful prose. He found a way to verbalize some of the things I could never have put into words ~ "I will always see you dancing through my dreams and, as hopeless as it seems, I will always love you." Arrrrghhhhhhhhh........

Our Last Farewell should have been a number one hit. God ! the emotion. It tears my heart out to listen to it. On a lighter note, he wrote "Hearts and Crafts" an adorable song.
