Hi Diney, I'd also love to visit New Mexico! I've been to Arizona a few times and really liked the southwest... so beautiful! While reading prior posts here I think I read that you're from Illinois, Peoria area? I'm about 35 miles south-west of Chicago... we're practically neighbors!

Hi Laura, glad you found the board. I didn't see the movie, but it sounds like the scene you and Diney mentioned would have been the perfect place for Dan's "Bones in the Sky".

I actually forgot about watching the movie, but I also had gotten an impression from the promo clip that it might be overly dramatic on her relationship with Stieglitz. I know you both said you enjoyed it, so maybe if they run it again I'll try to catch it.

I was watching an episode of the new Ken Burns documentary last night about our National Parks, and was thinking it would have been a great vehicle for Dan to be a part of. There's music throughout most of it - both traditional and original compostions - and quite a few composers/musicians involved. The music score was done well, but I couldn't help thinking that Dan could've written some great pieces for a project like that. It's really an interesting film and the scenery is awesome....the last of our wild places. Here's a link to it on the PBS site if anyone's interested: http://www.pbs.org/nationalparks/
