In reply to: Nancy 's message, "got my CD!!!!" on 10/ 5/09 8:21am

I also can't help feeling disappointed by the absence of liner notes. I expected something more than just lyrics. Even though Dan had said several times in interviews, how he felt he gave enough of himself through his music that we shouldn't expect anything more. Still....I thought there would be some words from him....something. I keep wondering if maybe had I not heard the music before I got the CD, that it might not feel so incomplete....but I don't know if that would've made any difference or not. I suppose I just have to accept it, and get over it...eventually.

A friend and I discussed this yesterday. I would say I am not disappointed in the liner notes, but I guess I was surprised at how brief they were.

But as we talked we thought Dan probably just wanted to treat this like any other CD/ album release in a professional manner.

I suspect Jean will continue to add information and stories via the website for awhile, but eventually I would think she would have to move on with her life as well.
