It's a sad time ~ so much finality where there used to be a vibrant talent who probably composed so many of his songs when he was on the water. I feel like the buyer is a transplant recipient receiving Dan's heart. I wish whoever it is Godspeed and good fortune and all the joy that Minstrel brought to its original owner. I hope the new recipient knows who Dan is and how important the Minstrel was to him, and by extension, to all of us. I do pray the new owner lives elsewhere, though. If by some good fortune, I'm ever up there, seeing the Minstrel sail away up to Jericho Bay would probably kill me.

I vacation on the coast of Maine so I'll keep an eye out for it. There aren't many sailboats painted Jade Mist; I'd know it anywhere.
