The past two seasons have been a disaster for Wimborne Town which started with the resignation by the ex-Chairman and the appointment of the Warren/Batchelor team, who decided to let Kearns/Smith/Griffiths/Culliford go and since then we have not had a ball winning midfielder, nor a decent, reliable goalkeeper. Stokoe/Witcher can not play in midfield, the latter I have always liked as a 'footballer', but as a forward, as he can play, but another who has been messed about. Ollie P.M. has been gone over two weeks and now Sammy Percival, two players who have never thrown the towel in, yet the Wimborne Board can not even acknowledge they have have left on their website and thank them for their services, which would be the decent thing to do. The decision, presumably has been taken by the new Manager, but from what I am told by ex-senior Wimborne players who I respect, who have played with him at Weymouth/Dorchester, he is a decent honest person, but with no management experience, he needs a lot of luck, but one has to give him time. Sponsorship next season for all football is going to get a lot tougher, through the lack of it and I truely fear for Wimborne with their lack of promotion with the money they have spent over these past two seasons.
