:0 !! You must've been astonished! How strange. Were the sounds simmish or monsterish do you think? How very odd.
I didn't see uncle Pao and I asked
>where he was and aunt Daphne said at work, but then

O!? How strange. I wonder.... Well, I suppose, no matter where he's at, it is good for your cousin and his wife and now she can feel safe, even if it's only for a little while until he comes back. This is all so strange to me. Before we started letting the foreigners come as tourists to the island, we had no crime. Our language doesn't even have words for things like crime, bad, wrong, guilty, etc. But, now, we are starting to develop these words. That is the only bad thing about allowing the tourist trade to come. I like to meet the foreigners, though.
When I was just a teen, I would go to the market and watch the foreigners talking with the farmers and tradesims to barter for goods. Watched them buy our goods. Saw the way they dressed. Too many clothes! lol It's too hot on the island to wear so much clothing and I thought it was so funny. Then, I'd go home and tell my mulilan about them and we would really laugh. Now, I understand why so many clothes. It's colder, much cooler here than on the island. lol But, the customs and manners are so unusual that I still sometimes find myself completely surprised by what sims do. I wonder how I will like to live in the city, sometimes. I'm glad we'll be in the loft that you picked with all the glass. It will be open and more comfortable that way. All the walls were such a shock when I first moved here. It was so strange to be in a box all the time.

Yes, it is different. Accumulating "stuff" is not that important. But, we will probably be asked to help with things when we go. Everyone pitches in to take care of the work around the house, etc. Like maybe the roof will need to be re-thatched or the walls will need new pitch or something like this. There is always work to be done, but there is also alwyas time for fun. :) We can bring gifts, though, of course we will. Everyone likes presents. lol
So, I said I would tell you a story about my tekarij. Well, I will tell you the funny story of how they met each other and fell in love.
One day, Parther was out, and he was just a lad at this time, but he went out to catch monkeys with the other boys. On this same day, Mah had gone into the forest to pick berries for a pie she would make. She, of course, was a young woman and younger than Par. At some point, Par was in the trees, chasing a monkey, and Mah was on the ground, picking berries, when all of a sudden a wild warthog came barrelling toward Mah. Now, they are very dangerous animals with long tusks and when they panick and run, they just do not stop. That's why, if they panic and run they can all go over a cliff, because they just do not stop for anything. They are very big, aggressive animals, too. So, it was running at Mah and Par, up in the trees, saw this warthog coming at this small girl, so he shimmied down the tree as quick as he could and jumped the rest of the way, right onto Mah. Then, he rolled her out of the way of the warthog just in the nick of time. And, that is how they met. Mah said that when she opened her eyes, he had a light all around him and it was like little stars were twinkling around his head, so she thought to herself, Lahubutaniya must be trying to give me a sign about the man I should love and marry one day. So, after that day, Par went home and talked to his tekarij and asked them to go to Mah's tekarij and ask them for her for his wife. So, after that, they started to see each other very often, because their villages were very close to one another's. Isn't that a romantic story? It is funny too. I can imagine Mah's face when she realized that Par had tackled her. I have a feeling that Mah was seeing stars, because she'd been tackled so hard and almost knocked out! lol
But, fortunately for me, Mah believed in the signs and Par believed in Mah. lol At least, that is how the story is told. Maybe what really happened is that Par thought Mah was a monkey and that he was catching the monkey, when actually, he ended up catching a wife?! lol jk
How was your day, bah lahubun?
