Subject: Matside weighins

First, I admit that I never wrestled. My sons are into it big time and finding some sucess. It seems to me that cutting weight is a major issue with-in the wrestling circle and defintaly with the public masses. So my question is why wouldn't matside weigh-ins work? Each wrestler goes to the table steps on the scale one match before they wrestle. example: 140 weigh-in right before the 135 wrestlers start their match. I think if you did this then kids would be prevented from sucking down too much. If you know you are going to wrestle in a couple of min. you still need to stay strong and hydrated. Can anybody tell me why this wouldn't work? Its just a thought what are your opinions?
