Facts-Miss New Jersey has never had a finalst that has finished 4th Runner up to Miss America. If you don't believe me here's a link to all winners, runners up and semi-finalists from 1959-2005

Fact-Cheryl Carter Miss New Jersey 1969 was a vocalist and didn't win the talent award her year. The talent winners for the year Carter competed are Minnesota—Judy Mendenhall
New Mexico—Patricia Brummet Ohio—Kathy Lynn Baumann. Grobelny writes that she's a jazz pianist. Carter was also brunette and resembled Natalie Wood. Cheryl Carter was 2nd runner up to Miss America 1970 Pam Eldred and tied Susan Anton for that honor. I realize it was 36 years ago but I think someone can remember if they finished 2nd RU or 4th RU to Miss America. Cheryl Grobelny is NOT Cheryl Carter.

Fact the only runners up that Miss New Jersey has had in the last 45 years are Cheryl Carter-2nd runner up to Pam Eldred, Suzanne Plummer-2nd runner up to Rebecca King, Mary D'Arcy-3rd runner up to Susan Perkins, Therese Hanley-2nd Runner up to Susan Powell, Suzette Charles-1st runner up to Vanessa Williams, and Jennifer Makris 2nd runner up to Heather Whitestone. Fact Cheryl Grobelny is NONE of these women.

Fact-The only 2 TALENT winners at Miss America in the last 50 years are Heather Hertling Miss New Jersey 1992 & Suzette Charles Miss New Jersey 1983. Fact Mrs. Grobelny is neither of these ladies.

Why are people so afraid of the facts and why can't someone post a straight answer to the question-WHAT YEAR WAS CHERYL GROBELNY MISS NEW JERSEY without being accused of being people most MAO pageant people have never heard of? A link to this board is now on the NJ MAO board and people who have been involved for over 30 years in MAO can't place Mrs. Grobelny as a former Miss New Jersey. So can someone answer the original questio-What year was Cheryl Grobelny Miss New Jersey and if she wasn't Miss New Jersey what state title did she hold in the MISS AMERICA SYSTEM?
