Is this the same group of houses labelled as Rees Row on the 1879 map ?

Thank you for that information. I didnt realise that map existed. If Rees Row refers to the small block between the RH railway line and the canal, south of the station, then the cottages I refer to could well have been called Rees Row. They were certainly very primative, having no form of internal services, ie water, lighting or sanitation.
