  • Nina cocked a brow at him knowingly but said no more, merely brushed a kiss to his neck , muttering in a playfully repremanding way "Nothing to worry about huh?" She sighed but gaze him a smile, shaking her head a touch "Everything turn out okay though right?" Her spanish accent tilted her soft tones as she spoke, too pre-occupied right now to notice their company- though she was aware they weren't alone. She moved around him to the kitchen to get the first aid kit Lacey had put together, pulling out some ointment and a medi-wipe and bandage. "Go get your shower baby, I'll bring it up.." Nina was aware of the change in Jackie- but it had all been coming on since lysia died. She new her pregnancy couldn;t be easy on Jackie- and felt the bitterness sometimes- but she tried not to talk to much about it or draw much attention to it- though that was getting hard witht he size of her. • He nodded a little at that, casting one more concerned look at the pair in the living room before he dropped a kiss to his girlfriends and then headed upstairs to their room that they shared. Well, it had been his room but she had moved in after Lysia died and that room that the girls had shared was just kind of..empty, now, except it had Lysia's things in it. None of them were quite willing to go in there and go through it all just yet, the wounds were still to fresh, even after nearly a year had passed. • Nina glanced out into the lounge where Jackie and Rio sat, catching Rio's almost tired, concerned gaze at Jackie before he lifted his dark eyes to meet hers. She offered a breif smile and got a glass of water and some pills for her boyfriend, grabbing them and the first aid items and heading upstairs. She had enough to worry about without adding her old best friend and jackie into the equation. She was having to work less and less- waitressing just took it out of her and though they were patient and concerned for her at the diner - they were in need of a waitress that could stay on her feet for eight hours. She opened the bathroom door and let herself in, closing it behind her and setting the glass and such down, pulling herself up, with some difficulty ontot he counter top- she wouldn't be able to do that much longer.   • She merely pursed her lips at that and said nothing- she'd been one of those hot, no strings girls without issues once... before it all got complicated...before she'd gotten knocked up. she loved Joey- and she felt safe with him- something she had never felt before- but sometimes she still had a hard time trusting it- especially in her current situation. It made her wonder if thats what he wanted to do too... if maybe in Rio's current situation he saw something of a mirrored image. Her hand moved over her stomach and she stayed thoughtfully quiet, she didn't voice her concerns- she knew Joey would take them personally and get upset with her- and that she'd sound pathetic and whiney and insecure- something she tried to never be. • "Yeah, he does...and he succeeded with her...he just needs to realize that he can't make her 100% any time soon...he just worries about her so much, you can see it all over his face." He shrugged a little before he reached down to turn off the shower and then grabbed the towel he had pulled out, wrapping it around his waist and letting it slide down his body and cling to his hips barely. Leaning over, he pressed his lips against hers for a moment before he pulled back, his eyes looking boyish as a small smile tipped his lips into an expression that was mixed with amusement and pouting. • She returned his kiss softly, looking into his eyes as he pulled back, and unable to help but return the smile at his boyish expression, a grin flickering over her full lips as he asked her to fix him. She widened her legs a little as he moved between them, leaning foward to kiss him once more before she handed him the painkillers and water, letting him take them while she went to work on cleaning up his arm and neatly bandaging it when she was done. She had had a lot of practice at patching up battle scars like these. Her gaze remained trained on his hand when she was done, taking it in both of hers and letting her fingers trace over it slowly. She brought it to her lips and kissed his palm, murmering thoughtfully to him without lifting her gave "I love you." She didn;t say it often- but she always felt it. • Quietly, he wondered where the tender moment had come from but he passed it off to the pregnancy and the way it affected her hormones. She could be downright crazy at times, he'd had to go to Rio numerous times wondering how to deal with the moodswings. He smiled a touch as he reached up to brush back her hair from her face, gazing down at her. "I love you too, baby girl." He murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead before he shifted to step back, gently urging her off the counter - careful that she didn't jostle herself to much - before speaking again. • Nina lifted her gaze to his as he returned her words, a smile flickering over her lips slightly as she was reassured. She was a handful at the best of times with her hot temper and sulleness - but witht he pregnancy she went from insecure and tender to vengeful and independant, though it was normally the former. She shifted herself gently off the counter, a hand resting on her round stomach, laughing as he said he as close to starving. She poked gently at his own stomach- which was hardly big- but not exactly lacking either "Mm I can see that ... skin and bones." She followed him downstairs and headed straight for the kitchen with him, getting the bowl of pasta from the fridge and offering it to him. She was always starving these days- and never refused food. • He grinned lightly, tipping his head to the side as he winked down at her before they made their way downstairs. He found a beer in the fridge also and cracked that open before he heated up the pasta and the sauce in the microwave and then sat down at the bar to dig in. He really was hungry, the job had gone horribly awry and it had been stressful and stress made him hungry, that was all there was to it. A grin crossed his face as he shoved food into his mouth, watching her before he shifted to reach into his pocket, pulling out the little bit smashed, but there none the less, macadamian nut, chocolate chip with raisin cookies that she had been wanting and slid them across the counter to her. • Nina arched a brow at his grin, not sure what he was grinning at until she saw the paper bag pushed towards her and she mirrored his grin with one of her own, her hand closing over the bag and pulling it across the counter to her. She had been craving them for the past few days, and it was heaven as she opened the bag and brought it to her nose with a deep smell of the yumminess. • He shrugged a little, smiling with his lips closed since he had a mouth full of pasta. He tried to do the nice boyfriend thing and get whatever she was craving whenever he could, sometimes he managed it, sometimes he didn't but he tried at least. The cookies were only made at this one bakery all the way across town so they had been kinda difficult but he had worked it out to grab them before his heist from hell, as it would now be termed. He questioned, his brow furrowed a little - he hadn't been seeing a whole lot of his twin recently and that kinda worried him, he didn't like feeling distant from his brother when they used to be so close... • She nodded gently as he asked about his brother, munching slowly and thoughtfully on the cookies. "He came for a walk tot he beach with me... said I was getting way too big to be wadlding aorund on my own- god knos what he'll think in three months." Jason had been pretty good since he found out she was pregnant with his twins baby- though she had a feeling Mackenzie helped a lot. The two of them seemed pretty serious now- and even she was getting along with the boys friend from home. "He was asking after you too.... asking how you were and that..." she didn't point out that they didn;t seem to be as close now as they once were- she just supposed it was inevitable as they both grew up and got new responsibilities and relationships. • His brow furrowed a touch, it was wicked that it had come to the point where they had to ask other people how the other twin was doing. "Maybe I'll see if he wants to go out tomorrow night..." He murmured around his pasta before he finally finished it off. "He took you to the beach huh? Thats cool...good for you to get some air and all that." He nodded a touch, he really should be the one taking his pregnant girlfriend out to the park and the beach and shit but he just didn't have time. He worked well over forty hours a week plus took care of a house, all the repairs - and there were a lot of them - and the mess of kids that lived inside said house...he was a busy man. • Nina nodded a touch in agreement- she got out every day for a bit of a walk and some fresh air. They were both pretty busy men- Jason worked his own 40 hour job doing deliveries and pick ups, but he got a day or so off every week so it wasn;t too bad. Nina knew Joey had a lot going on- and she tried not to add to his burden- but she knew the costs were getting him down- she had a bit saved up to buy stuff for the baby when it came- and Rio was already working on building her a crib and change table in secret- though she knew about it. • He was saving up money too and actually had a good amount in the bank that not many people knew about but it was for the baby and for Nina - hospital expenses and things like that though now she was on healthy start through the government and that would pay for most of her and the kids health care. He had taken care of things like that, gotten them on stuff like "WIC" that would get them bread, milk and things of the like - kinda like foodstamps - he wasn't to proud to be taking money from the government, he figured they owed him that much after all the shit that he had been through. He stood up then, putting away the food and cleaning up a touch so Jackie wouldn't feel she had to do it before he looked down at her. "Kinda late for you to be up isn't it?" • She shrugged her shoulders a touch and cocked a brow at him "I wanted to wait for you." She said simply, inviting no debate on it. She did get tired earlier these days- witht he pregnancy and all- but she missed having an hour or two with him when he got home from work- no matter how late it was. She got tired of falling asleep and waking up in an empty bed. She finished off her last cookie and threw the bag in the trash, easing herself up out of the seat. • He shrugged a little, careful of his arm. "I could go either way, if you wanna lay down I am cool with that or we could hang out down here and be social...or just go outside...whatever you want." He smiled lightly, shifting to sit back down on the bar stool, resting his chin in his hand as he gazed at her. She really was a vibrant woman, especially pregnant, she just seemed to radiate beauty all around her. • She smirked softly and finished with her milk, washing the glass and drying it before setting it back in the cupboard. She moved closed to him and stood between his legs, her fingers reaching for those of his good arm, lacing them together playfully. "Lets go sit outside... is it warm out?" She used to live out there- the garden had been tamed now and Lacey had even planted a load of stuff in there so it looked pretty presentable- infact the whole house was looking much better than when they had moved into it. • "Sure, it's pretty warm out." He had his days, somedays he did really well at playing the grown up game and some days he just wanted to be the little delinquent he was at a heart. Right now though, he was content to just go outside with his girlfriend and hang out with her for a bit. He made his way out onto the back deck, sitting down in some patio chairs that Rio had picked up at his work for them. His eyes moved to Nina who was sitting next to him as he slouched down into the chair. "So what did you do all day?" • She slouched in the seat with him, resting her head back against the top of the seat and propping her feet up on a planter lacey had put there, her hand resting on her stomach idly.
