Subject: He cocked a brow, leaning against the porch railing as he watched her for a second before he called out. "Picking up strays now, pet?" He questioned, a quiet laugh in the tone of his voice. He lit the cigarette slowly, taking a long hit before he finally headed out into the lawn, moving closer to her. She didn't smoke herself but she never seemed to throw a big fit about him smoking so he didn't bother to finish his smoke before he went over there. Instead he just ran his hand over her back quietly, pressing a kiss to the top of her head before he sat down on the grass next to her.

Her features had brightened when she heard his voice - a dark cloud was hanging over her head these days, but he provided some solace - and she shrugged a little helplessly as she smiled. When he sat down, she tossed the stick for the dog again and then shifted off of the swing to settle herself down on the grass with him. Sideways between his legs, her knees bent and she rested back on her hands, head tipped to the side a little so she could see him. "How was work, love?" (NT) -- Ella, 21:11:15 09/27/05 Tue
