Subject: Someday you'll see me again, and I'll be laughin', yeah I'll be standing over you with your blood on my hands..

Astrid had told him that the door would be unlocked, if he ever needed a place to go, and now was as good a time as any, he figured. One more fight in the facility and he was headed for something a lot worse. He couldn't contain himself the majority of the time - he had certain triggers and when they were struck, he was like an animal, which made it strange, and unlikely that he and Astrid would get along so well - her being so closed up most of the time, lost in her own world, and he with his volatile temper. Maybe it was the lonliness that engulfed the two of them that had turned them into friends - the kind of lonliness that can only get to you when your father is dead and your mother is lost in her own insanity. The kind of lonliness that can only get to you when your father beats you and your mother to a bloody pulp every damn day, until she kills herself and you're a nine year old boy left to fend for yourself. Maybe it was the way the rage that he contained contrasted with her general sense of peace. Maybe it wasn't any of that, and only the fact that they'd been called in alphabetical order, one day, one right after the other, and he, recognizing that she was an attractive young woman, had spoken to her, which had begun their friendship. He wasn't sure, but he'd missed her, and to cap the lonliness he'd felt once she'd left the facility, he'd lashed out, becoming irritated by any little thing that came across his path until he was beyond the means of the center.

She had been doing some dishes up for Jackie, who was laying down at the time, when she heard the door crack open, and, expecting Armani, from whom she was embarrassed and hiding again, she'd peeked over her shoulder, only to meet and be surprised at the well tanned skin, shock of black hair, and glint of a crucifix hung around a delicate chain that she'd bought him that only one person could combine. She dropped her dishrag and shot out of the kitchen, pulling up to him and jumping up for a hug, winding her arms and legs around him - rarely was she so open like this, but she, in turn had missed him and the companionship that he provided - unlike any of the relationships that she currently carried on in this house. "Mickey!" She pressed an affectionate kiss to his cheek and let herself down, swinging his duffle bag off of his shoulder. She wasn't sure where they were going to put him, but he was staying here with her, as far as she was concerned.
