Did you ever catch a ball?

From what I've read in various baseball books, hawking drinks and snacks was exhausting, even backbreaking when one had to climb the long flights of stairs, especially on hot, humid days. Someone wrote that the best job was selling scorecards and pencils in the entrance. After the first inning he switched to the souvenir stand. Of course, he never got to see a bit of the game. No TVs in the promenades in those days.
