Walter's in Mamaroneck had terrific hot dogs - grilled with red sauce & onions. My favorite dish at Tung Hoy was the duck wrapped in smoked ham, battered & deep fried, served with hoisin sauce. Does anyone remember Texas Chili on Main Street in Port Chester? Great hot dogs & burgers with hot chili, & a bowl of that chili (no beans) was a treat. There was also the Adobe Rest in Port Chester: great subs, especially meatball with peppers on fresh, toasted bread from J.J. Cassone's bakery. And summer with Good Humor & Bungalow Bar ice cream trucks. I loved Toasted Almond bars. We can get them in supermarkets here, but they're not the same. They've taken most of the butterfat out of the ice cream. Healthier I suppose, but much less flavor and creaminess.
