I posted a 'bye bye Soupy' thread on the forum in my local Oregon newspaper and was told by several that his show was broadcast locally in the NY area. Soupy must have been on in places other than NY, no? Anyway, I'm glad there was a thread already started on here. :-)
WHO could forget doin' "The Mouse"? And White Fang? And Pookie? And Black Tooth? We used to rush off the bus to watch Soupy. Then the thing happened with him telling the kiddies to send him 'little green pieces of paper with pictures of men with beards' from their parents' wallets to him and he got in trouble. What a pie in the face for the FCC. Dolts.
